Western Ukraine celebrates The Year of castles and palaces

On the 23 of February the solemn ceremony of signing of the Declaration of intentions to maintain the initiative of the social organisms and to declare the 2008 year The Year of the castles and palaces of the Western Ukraine will take place in Lviv. The head of department of foreign relations and promotions of the region of the Lviv regional council Taras Vozniak reported about it.

The heads of the regional councils of the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Ternopil’, Khmelnytskyi, Volyn’ and Zakarpattia regions are invited to take part in this ceremony.

The pivots of this Declaration are to combine efforts of the regions to reserve the originality of the castles and palaces of the regions, to facilitate the popularization of the information about the castles and palaces, to have the wardship of the organization of the actions that are related with their conservation.
